When searching, you will need one of the following:

Paying Traffic Fines and Court Costs in Kentucky

KYeCourts is Kentucky's online payment portal for court fines and fees. The system provides free access to public case information statewide. You can view case details and make payments using credit or debit cards. This service is available 24 hours a day through the AOC website.

The payment process is straightforward. Visit the KYeCourts portal and search for your case. Review the amount due for fines and court costs. Complete payment using a major credit or debit card. A processing fee applies to all card transactions. The fee equals 2.25% of the transaction amount or $2.50, whichever is greater.

Payments by phone are available in many counties. Call the Circuit Court Clerk's office to inquire about this option. Some locations accept credit and debit card payments over the phone. Be prepared to provide your citation number or case number.

Note: Prepaying a traffic fine is equivalent to pleading guilty to the charge. This may result in points on your driving record.

Requesting Copies of Kentucky Traffic Court Records

Criminal Record Reports and Traffic History

The Administrative Office of the Courts offers criminal record reports to individuals and businesses. These reports include traffic cases from the past five years and felonies dating back to 1978. You can request a report on yourself or another person. Criminal record reports are public information under Kentucky law.

To order a criminal record report, visit the AOC Background Checks page. You will receive an email when the report is ready. Results remain available for 30 days after processing. Email delivery can fail, so check the portal periodically. All requests are processed in order received. No expedited service is available.

Reports do not include certain confidential case types. Juvenile cases, mental health cases, and domestic violence cases are excluded. Federal criminal information is not included. Kentucky State Traffic School Program

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet operates the State Traffic School program. Its purpose is to promote safe and responsible driving. The program provides education that renews a driver's outlook on traffic safety. It instills a positive attitude toward highway safety.

Eligibility for traffic school requires court referral. You cannot attend if your license is under suspension. The citation cannot carry a mandatory license suspension. Only minor traffic violations qualify. You can complete the program once every twelve months. Out-of-state drivers are not eligible.
